How has the experience been so far?
So far, the experience has been amazing. I find it very interesting brainstorming research ideas and analyzing literature with my supervisor. In addition, I get to work in a group of very friendly and supportive teammates.

What have you found most interesting about your new city?
It is the beauty for me. I have always heard that Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and now I can understand why. I think was opportune to arrive in Spring and the scenery is breathtaking.

What advice do you have for prospective students?
It is possible. I think the first success I got in my grad school journey was when I decided to myself that my dreams were valid and achievable. That mindset helps you overcome all the hurdles that may come along the way.

How did the i-Scholar Initiative contribute to your journey?
Having iSI support me financially in writing my standardized exam took a huge weight off my chest but it was more than that. iSI is a family – a family that consistently provides support, encouragements, and the gentle nudges you need to move on. I am very grateful for this family.
