Education & Mentoring
We do not just fund scholars for their standardized examinations. We also run a very robust and disciplined mentoring scheme that empowers and creates an end-to-end value chain for scholars in their career journeys. Leveraging on the experiences and generosity of our seasoned mentors, we:
- Provide targeted orientation and onboarding for scholars
- Assist the Scholars in the selection of Universities and programs of study.
- Walk them through the process and register them for the requisite standardized Exams.
- Provide valuable information to help them in securing admissions, financial assistance and funding for their program of studies.
- Provide guidance on how to communicate with prospective professors and research advisors, create a well-written Statement of Purpose (SOP) and enlighten them on various metrics used in admissions selection.
- Provide oversight and QC their application for admissions, making sure all requirements and deadlines are met.
- Offer and advise scholars on the choice of schools when they are faced with multiple admission offers.
- Organize and facilitate educational and professional seminars, public lectures, workshops etc for our teaming youths.
- Prepare and support scholars for their travel visa interviews
Professional Development
i-Scholar Initiative continually tracks the progress and helps every scholar to navigate through their graduate studies and post-graduation career plans. Opportunities for career development, mentoring, and networking is available to all iSI scholars.
iSI remains intentional in sustaining our network of scholars as they advance in their careers. The organization will continue to provide an enabling platform for them in their shared vision for continuous personal development and nation-building.
